Armory

We were so excited to finally have a chance to go to the Armory just like the upper grades.  We had such a great time.  Ms. Ussery created 4 fun stations for us: track, ball throwing, relay and scooters.  Strangely, we were not that tired when we returned to school.

Music class

We have been enjoying our music class for the past several months.  We can't wait to share what we have been learning when we sing for you at our music performance.  Here are a few pictures of us playing on the xylophones.

In anticipation of the upcoming spring holidays, we spent the afternoon before break tasting some matzah with butter......

Here is a Haiku for you!

Jackie, Holden's mom, came into class last week to teach a lesson on haikus.  A haiku is a poem that is typically about the seasons or nature.  It always has only 3 lines and each line has a certain amount of syllables.  The syllable count is 5, 7, and 5.  This was a great way to wrap up our poetry unit.  We had so much fun playing around with the syllable counts and came up with some really great new poems. Number Eating Alligator Song

We have been learning how to compare numbers using "greater than" and "less than" terminology and symbols.  We learned this song today and the kids all enjoyed the lyrics.  Please share this video with them and have fun!
