Happy Valentine's Day! We celebrated this day of friendship by exchanging valentines, and creating "love bugs" (actually lady bugs) out of strawberries, blueberries and chocolate chips.
It's been a cold long January. We are sorry we haven't posted in a while. Here are some fun pictures from our activities in late December and early January. Stay warm!

100th Day of School
We celebrated the 100th day of school by doing many fun math activities that involved counting to 100! First, we dressed up like we were 100 years old. Then we shared our collections of 100 things and spoke about how we counted those 100 items. Many of us are counting by 5's and 10's. Then played some math games like Roll to 100. Finally, we created a trail mix snack by choosing 10 pieces of 10 different items. It was a fun day.

Creating posters with our buddies
We have been spending more time with our buddies. We created posters to get to know one another by asking each other questions and writing down things that we each liked on our posters. We have also gone to a school concert together and shared our writing together. It's been fun having 5th grade buddies. We even get to see them in the lunchroom sometimes! Ask me about my buddy!
Pancake breakfast and pajama day
We had a great time celebrating the holiday season by getting cozy in our pjs while watching Happy Feet and eating pancakes and fruit. Thanks to all the families who sent in donations.
